Are you tired of the constant battle against illness, plagued by questions that haunt you every time you fall sick?
“Why Me?” “What did I do to deserve this?” “Why is life so unfair?”
You’re not alone in these doubts, wondering if this suffering will ever end, or if it’s some form of divine punishment.
But here’s the truth: the old ways of pursuing health are no longer enough in today’s world. They fall short, leaving you in a cycle of uncertainty and helplessness.
We all feel that we always do the right thing when it comes to health.
We follow the best doctor’s advice. We eat the healthiest foods available.
We take the best supplement and medicine. We exercise regularly.
But in the end, we feel continuously unwell without any improvement and worst is we end up is losing our life or the life of our loved ones.
It’s puzzling – why don’t these tried-and-true health methods work like they used to? The truth is things have shifted. Our lives, environment, and how we live have changed. That’s shaken up the game of what it means to be really truly healthy. It’s time for a new game plan. It’s not just about sticking to old rules anymore.
Life’s a mix of complicated and uncertain. No guarantees. But one thing’s for sure: neglecting our health now could mean a future filled with regrets and pain. That’s why making our health a priority today matters more than ever.
Familiar Weird Statements That’ll Really Make You Think
“It’s so hard to accept his early departure. He was a young man who prioritized health and fitness.”
“Bigla na lang inatake sa puso kahit sobrang active sa sports at puro healthy foods ang kinakain.”
“How could he have fallen victim to cancer when he lived a clean and virtuous life? He did everything right.”
“Despite being incredibly fit and leading a clean and wholesome life, he succumbed to a mysterious ailment.
“Maingat naman sya at walang bisyo pero nagka stage 4 cancer.”
Wondering why a healthy lifestyle and modern medicine is not enough to ensure a longer life?
Ever wondered why being healthy or relying on best medicine doesn’t always guarantee a longer life? It’s puzzling, isn’t it? Even super healthy people don’t live as long as expected, while others with not-so-healthy habits live longer. That’s because we’re all different and unique. Trying to compare isn’t fair—it is like comparing apples and oranges – it doesn’t quite fit. Think about it: our lives are made up of what we go through, what we do, and the choices we make, especially about our health. Different levels of stress, secrets in our genes, the polluted environment, unsafe food, and our daily lifestyle decisions all join together to affect how healthy we are. Life can be a bit like rolling dice; sometimes it feels short, other times it seems long. Fairness in this mix? It’s kind of unpredictable. Life and health aren’t set in stone. They surprise us and it’s full of unexpected events that can leave us feeling lost and seeking answers.
The unexplainable sad story of my health-conscious mom.
More than twelve years ago, I lost my very health-conscious mother, and it shattered my belief in the path of life. We thought she did everything right! I thought we did our very best to make her feel better. She faithfully followed her doctor’s advice. She embraced a balanced healthy diet, avoided to junk food, lived clean and pure, took the very best supplements, medicine and herbs, and exercised regularly. With this strategy we thought, her occasional high blood pressure and sugar spikes will get better. We held onto the belief that she’d see her 100th birthday. But then, the unimaginable and the unexpected happened – a heart attack claimed her at 61.
We didn’t know that my mom was eating “unhealthy foods”.
Our “old knowledge of healthy foods” are the ones really making our lives shorter. This list was part of my mom’s daily diet
for more than 10 years.
Pretending healthy foods:
Oats – processed food, has high glycemic index that can cause a rapid rise in blood sugar levels.
Sugar Free Cereals – processed food has unhealthy artificial sweeteners(sugar) that causes a rise in blood sugar.
Wheat Bread – processed food has high glycemic index that raise blood sugar and has sodium that raises blood pressure.
Salted Fish / Daing – (she eats this occasionally because this is her favorite) processed food, high in sodium that can contribute to high blood pressure (hypertension) which is a risk factor for heart disease.
Vegetable, Corn, Canola Oil – processed food, high in trans fats and omega 6 that can cause inflammation and heart disease.
Brown Rice – it has higher levels of arsenic content than white rice which can increase risk of cancer, heart disease, & type 2 diabetes.
Low fat / Non-fat Milk – processed food it has more added sugar, highly processed has lots of chemicals artificial flavors & stabilizers.
Banana – has potassium vitamin c but contains 12 grams of sugar per 100 grams can cause a rise in blood sugar
Apple – has vitamin c but contains around 14 grams of sugar per 100 grams that causes a rise in blood sugar levels.
Orange – has vitamin k & resveratrol but contains 9 grams of sugar per 100 grams causes a rise in blood sugar levels.
Grapes – has potassium vitamin c but contains around 16 grams of sugar per 100 grams causes a rise in blood sugar levels.
When I learned about the negative health effects of this “pretending healthy food” I asked myself are there still real healthy foods left?
Processed foods, oil, and salt, sugar which is the worst?
Apart from unhealthy processed foods, oil, salt, “sugar” stands as one of the most dangerous. Why? Because it hard to avoid and is present in almost all the food that we eat. It can be found in our breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning snacks, midnight snacks, desserts even the healthy fruits and vegetables. Just imagine your total added sugar piling up every single day because they are part of the foods that we eat all the time.
There was a most recent study on sugar that was published in April 2023. The study analyzed data from 73 meta-analyses and 8,600 different studies on sugar. The researchers found that a high intake of added sugar was significantly associated with 45 negative health effects.
Here is the list of negative health effects of sugar.
Cardiovascular disease, such as heart disease and stroke, Type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Cancer, Obesity *Fatty liver disease, High blood pressure, High cholesterol, Triglycerides, Inflammation, Insulin resistance, Metabolic syndrome, Gout, Sleep apnea, Depression, Anxiety, Cognitive decline, Memory loss, Vision problems, Hearing loss, Skin problems, Dental problems, Bone problems, Muscle problems, Joint problems, Digestive problems, Immune system problems, Reproductive problems, Pregnancy complications, Birth defects, Depression.
But why is it very hard to stop eating sugar?
Reason # 1
Cravings for foods which are high in sugar can be very challenging to stop for one important reason and that is “deliciousness”. It is
engineered to be “irresistible”. It’s sweetness triggers pleasure centers in the brain, creating a strong desire for more.
Reason # 2
Sugar is Your Ever-Present, “Unconditional Best Friend” that makes you happy.
Believe it or not, the bond between humans and sugar is profoundly emotional. Why, you may wonder? Sugar is like an “unconditional best friend” who steadfastly accompanies you through life’s ups and downs. It’s more dependable than a spouse, a girlfriend, or a boyfriend. Crafted with a singular mission: to bring lifelong joy into your world forever. In moments of loneliness, sorrow, or even in your darkest hours, it remains faithful at your side.
Reason # 3
We are all born weak and we simply could not resist “temptation.”
Temptation and Sugar: As a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience we have inherited a fallen and sinful nature. This concept of inheriting a weakness from Adam’s original sin can be related to the idea that we are inherently inclined to give in to temptation, including the
temptation of sugary foods. All of us are inherently imperfect and prone to making morally wrong choices.
Reason#4
Separation Anxiety. When my mom decided to stop eating oily, salty, and sugary foods, I could see how hard it was for her to let go of those foods that makes her happy. Every mealtime became less exciting for her. Seeing her trying so hard, I realized how much she missed those familiar flavors. It wasn’t just about the taste; it was about the happy feelings and memories those foods held for her.
Reason#5
Sugar has been a part of our daily lives since birth. Sugar makes us happy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It is present during special occasions like birthday, wedding, baptism, and all happy occasions. How can you ever let go of something that makes you happy all your life? It is like saying “bawal ba maging masaya?”.
Our favorite Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks and Desserts with sugar.
Is this really true? Are you saying that all our lives we are eating sugar, added sugar, or multiple types
sugar every single day?
The answer is a BIG YES. We are all eating sugar all our lives and we are not just aware of it because no one is telling you the truth about sugar.
What will happen if you keep eating sugar.
Sugar makes you look old and accelerates aging.
Sugar shortens your lifespan.
Sugar makes you gain weight even with regular exercise.
Yes, I get it I know sugar is really bad for my health. But it is hard to stop eating it.
I know why you are having a hard time wanting a better health.
There are only 3 reasons.
1. Selfishness or Lack of Awareness. Sometimes, the motivation to change is hindered by not fully considering the consequences of falling ill. It’s not merely about personal suffering; it’s also about how our health impacts those who care about us. Neglecting our well-being can inflict physical, emotional, and financial hardships on our loved ones. The emotional burden of questioning, “Why me? Am I being punished?” may arise, reflecting a lack of
consideration for the people around us.
2. You haven’t experienced the worst. Many of us believe we’re fine if we can move without feeling any immediate issues. It’s often when we face severe health crises like a stroke or bedridden conditions that we realize the need for change. Fear might not set in until we physically cannot move or until we experience significant discomfort.
3. Different Ways of Learning.
There are two types of people when it comes to health.
Fast learners. These are people who focuses on prevention, and they will never stop learning until they reach their best health condition.
Slow learners. These are the focuses on cure, and they will only do something about their health when they feel something wrong, or worst is happening to their body. These people are the ones who lives in regret, and
ask “why me?” “What did I do to deserve this?” “Why is life so unfair?”
You are right it is very hard to let go.
Alam ko galit ka na at nakasimangot. Dahil feeling mo pinipigilan kitang
gusto gawin….
May
kasabihan nga na pag ayaw laging may dahilan pag gusto ay laging may paraan.

Ready to Change for Good?
I know what are you thinking. The next question is what should I eat if everything food on the table has sugar?
But first you must honesly answer these 2 important questions before you proceed.
First question. Do you honestly feel healthy?
If you feel like you are doing the right thing with your health, and you don’t need any kind of help
then I recommend you STOP reading.
Because I was just like you more than 12 years ago. We thought we did everything right. We thought we gave our best. But we still failed and all I ever have is the feeling of regret. If only I could turn back time, but I just can’t.

Advantages of “Effortlessly Fit” vs Modern medicine:
It is a more natural approach to healing: The keto diet and intermittent fasting are both based on natural principles of human physiology. They promote healing by addressing the root causes of disease, such as inflammation and insulin resistance.
It is more holistic: The keto diet and intermittent fasting promote overall health and well-being, not just the treatment of specific diseases. They do this by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing inflammation, and boosting autophagy. Modern medicine, on the other hand, is often focused on treating specific diseases, rather than promoting overall health and well-being.
It is more sustainable: The keto diet and intermittent fasting are sustainable ways to eat and live. They are not fad diets that require you to deprive yourself or follow strict rules. Instead, they provide a framework for making healthy choices that you can stick to long-term. Modern medicine, on the other hand, often requires people to take medications or undergo surgery, which can be difficult to sustain long-term.
It is more affordable: The keto diet and intermittent fasting are relatively affordable ways to improve your health. They do not require you to buy expensive supplements or processed foods. Instead, you can focus on eating whole, unprocessed foods. modern medicine, on the other hand, can be expensive, especially if you require prescription medications or surgery.
It is more effective for weight loss: The keto diet and intermittent fasting are very effective for weight loss. They help you to lose
weight by burning fat and reducing your appetite. modern medicine, on the other hand, is often not as effective for weight loss, and it is common for people to regain the weight they lose after stopping their treatment.
It is more effective for managing chronic diseases: The keto diet and intermittent fasting can help to manage a variety of chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. They do this by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing inflammation, and boosting autophagy. modern medicine, on the other hand, often focuses on treating the symptoms of chronic diseases, rather than addressing the underlying causes.
It has fewer side effects: The keto diet and intermittent fasting are generally safe and well-tolerated. They may cause some
mild side effects, such as fatigue and headaches, at first, but these side effects usually go away within a few days. modern medicine, on the other hand, can cause a variety of side effects, some of which can be serious.
It is more empowering: The keto diet and intermittent fasting put you in control of your own health. They teach you how
to make healthy choices and listen to your body. modern medicine, on the other hand, can be disempowering, as it requires you to rely on doctors and other healthcare professionals to make decisions for you.
It is more preventive: The keto diet and intermittent fasting can help to prevent chronic diseases from developing in
the first place. They do this by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing inflammation, and boosting autophagy. Modern medicine, on the other hand, is often focused on treating chronic diseases once they have developed.
It is more personalized: The keto diet and intermittent fasting can be personalized to meet your individual needs and
goals. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. modern medicine, on the other hand, often relies on standardized treatments that may not be effective for everyone.
